Jake is a lovely, solid-bodied horse, with the sweetest, most personable attitude you could ever want. Jake is intelligent, willing, and learns quickly and happily. He has been completely unflappable, and gets along with all the other horses in turnout, including the "difficult" ones! He has a lovely, easy trot, nice walk and canter, and has willingly jumped everything I've pointed him at. He's been XC schooling, and calmly handles water, ditches and banks. He's also gone out with the local hunt trail ride, and handles a large group and other horses' "festivities" with aplomb. Jake has been used as a "visitor" horse on several occasions, and has carefully packed around complete beginners in the ring and on trail rides.

Jake will make someone a wonderful hunt, trail, PC or low-level event horse. Jake had early-onset ("juvenile") arthritis in his left hock when he first arrived three years ago, but my vet tells me that it will not significantly impact his ability to perform in the future. The last set of radiographs showed the affected joint is fusing, and Jake has been sound in work for over a year now.
